Small Talk Speech Therapy was established by Debra Wylie to provide quality speech and language therapy services for children of all ages in the Fort Wayne area.
Debra Wylie M.A. CCC/SLP, the owner of Small Talk Speech Therapy, has over 15 years experience as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University in 1996 and her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana University in 1998. She obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) in 1999. She has her Indiana state license from the Indiana Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology.
Most of Debra's professional career has been working in early intervention providing speech and language services to children in private practice. Debra has experience in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of related speech language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. She understands that building individualized goals and activities around each child's personality helps to ensure his/her success. She believes that a family centered approach is the key to successful therapy outcomes.
